radio evaluation

The purpose of my radio show was to entertain viewers and to also to have a go on the radio and learn how to work the system.

I think we achieved our purpose mainly but josh didn't have a go on the microphones or the computer. i think that is because he didn't want to mess up or make himself look stupid.

We gave a positive image because we said good things about each song we played and we didn't say anything bad about the bands.

we used songs from both sex's like we used acdc for the first song and then after we used star struck

Barnardos Advert

The barnardos advert is mainly to be found on flyers. other copies of this advert could be found in ladies magazines because they are more likely to read the advert other than men.

The target audience for this advert are adults and elderly people because they are more likely to be the people that look at the flyers and advertising not to see that it wants money and to just bin it.

the advert uses the lines of appeal happy families and self-importance and pride to attract there specific target audiences by making them feel really good if they give money to help an orphan and they will be feel as proud inside they will have more pride about themselves.

The advert uses reward power, coercive power to attract target audiences by making them feel good if you help the company then you will feel good where as the coercive power will make you feel really bad because you've made an innocent child die.


The camera angles used in the advert are a face shot so you can see the child's expression and his eyes.


The other technical codes that have been used are tag-lines which will stick in the target audiences mind. also the colour codes that have been used to make the black look like death and and the white of the child's face seem like a candle slowly burning out.

Typography appeals to the target audience because the bold letters stand out and make you want to read the smaller but no less important writing.

The modes of address that the advert uses are a direct mode of address because the child's face is looking straight at you and also a formal mode of address is used because the matter of life is not to be messed with.

The advert is similar to the other adverts on the sheet because they have a main picture with bold writing to catch your eye and then your hooked line and sinker because you've been pulled in and you can't stop reading until you've finished.

The symbolic and cultural codes that have been used are that the black is death and the blue is tears.

The uses and gratification theory can be applied to the barnados advert. personal identity can be applied because you look into the childs yes and think that could have been me and personal relationships can be used because of how he looks at you and its asif he knows you and you know him even if you dont.
intertextuality in the barnados advert helps us to think that the advert is like a war film and the childs being sent away for safety also the black backround could say the same asif its like a scene where men are dying.

the advert uses techniques common in print advertising. the most obvious of these is the use of text features like the big bold heading to draw people in. another technique is the use of limited colours and the light to draw you to see one thing imparticular.

You will find advertising of this advert on websites, magazines, on the T.V and on outdoor advertising.

The target audience for this advert are male teenagers and adults because there more likely to wear it.

The advert uses the lines of appeal rich, luxurious lives and successful romance and love to attract the target audiences by making them think that if they buy this product they will have lots of women around them and also they will look rich and powerful because they have this new product.

The factors of persuasion used to attract there chosen target audience are reward power which is saying that if you have this product everybody will love you and also referent power the slogan "pocket pulling power" is a list of three so it will stick in your head.

A close up shot has been used on the hand to make the product seem really desirable and to show detail of the product.

high key lighting has been used to make the product stand out and to also make it look like its from the heavens.

Other technical codes that have been used in the product are tag lines so that the product sticks in your head and the logo of the hand and the bullet are used to make you instantly recognize the product where ever you are.

Planning for production

Kyle lawson likes to see fit girls in adverts because they attract him and make him watch the advert also he likes comedy because it makes him laugh and sticks in his head. He prefers narratives in adverts because it helps him understand the advert. kyle likes to see celebraties in adverts because it makes him feel like he knows them and makes it more friendly. the advert that has caught his eye in the past was the dairy milk advert because it was funny along with the zombie land film advert.the music he likes to hear in adverts is base music because it is loud and its music he knows. kyle likes people in adverts to seak english because its loud and clear.
Josh likes comedy people in adverts because its clear and funny. he doesn't like narratives in adverts because there boring and he think that it will be a sad story. he likes celebraties in adverts because they look good and stay in his mind. the compare the meerkat advert has stuck in joshes mind because it has a catchy slogan and is funny.the music he likes to hear is modern because its catchy and he knows them more.
Jack agate likes animals in adverts because its not something you see alot and it makes them look smart. he hates narratives in adverts because there annoying and to hard to understand aswell as celebraties because it makes the product seem fake. his favourite advert at the minute is the aviva advert because its got a funny ending. the music jack likes to here in adverts is jingles that are catchy and easy to remember. people in adverts jack likes to see should speak in slang because thats how he speaks normally.

I need a tagline or slogan to draw my audience in. "Green Army!!!!"

The lines of appeal that are apparent in the advert are fantasy and dreams because men can inspire to be james bond man that gets an amazing car and get lots of girls. The factors of persuation are that you can get a cheep car but get a great ride from it.
The target audiences are explorers because he will discover a new car and will discover new roads to go down. sound is used in the advert as a bedding to go behind the sound effects of the car and bike and the other modes of transport. the characters that are there have been steryo typed because its a single man that is living the dream in a honda. hes a damsell in distress because he is leaving himself on the open road. the camera shots are used to make the balloon look bigger and the tracking shots show alot of the cars or bikes.

The lines of appeal in the dell laptop are fantasy and dreams because you will dream about choosing colour of your laptop and the inspiring one because you will inspire to have one and then you will fell like someone. The factors of persuation are that the colours will attract the younger audience and the catchy tunes will make kids want one when they grow up.the target audiences are sucseeders that will see it as something that will help then to be good at something and aspires that will use it to make themselves millionares or something that they want to do. the sound effects that are used to make the different features seem realistic and the song again is a backround music and its diejetic because there singing the song. the characters have been steryo typed because there are typical builders and they are wearing what you expect them to wear. the camera shots that have been used are low angle shots yo make the people seem big and the factory bigger and close ups so you can see there expressions.

i have chosen the first idea as my proposal. i belive my advert has the following lines of appeal, happy families because the victim solves his problem about bulling. i also hope to reflect the line of appeal self importance and pride as i will include the nerd will feel good and this will make other people stand up for themselves. my advert will have the following factors of persuasion, reward and coercive i will use these factors of persuation because if peopel buy the coke drink they will be energized and if you don't drink the coke you will be bullied. my primary target audiences is teenagers and younger children. i will use the following camera angles and shots in my advet eye line shots, upper shots, high angle shots. i have used these angles and shots to create the effects that the bullie will look tough and strong and nerd will look weak and powerless.

The asa are a group of people that look at complaints that people have said about different adverts. the way they work is that if they get a complaint they take this and have a look at the advert and if they think that its not acceptable they will contact the company that owns the advert and then see if they can change it, if they cant then they collect complaints and then tghey can bann the advert. they look at tv adverts, radio adverts, magazines, billboards and busses. they set up a series of codes like programmes and advertising and children and harm and offence.

8-Marketing and Promotion

I will advertise my advert on channel three and niclodien because Children watch it because they will se it and want to buy it also it will be advertised before and during football so men will go and get some in the half time adverts. Also we will show it in films so people will go and buy the drink. i will also show it on social websites like face book to make people see it and think that they will show there friend and then the next day they will buy it. also we will show our advert on the radio on shows like galaxy and mtv. we will also show it in magazines like the simpsons magazine because younger children read these and will want what they see.

My advert will include a narrative. it will start with equillitorium when a bullie starts with a nerd and all hell brakes loose. the advert will end with a resolution as the nerd fight back. the advertwill have an closed ending, leaving the audience felling happy and thinking with a good thought. the main characters in my advert are nerds and bullie, i have chosen to represents the character in this way as a normal represntation of a person. this sounds is diegetic because the actors will be able to hear it. the characters and images shown in the advert.
